Get Up & Get On The Story Behind The Song

There are songs that just make you feel like you can do it.
There are melodies that can instantly cause a surge of hopeful energy. 
Get Up & Get On is what Jeremie wanted to create in a song.
“The track came first, the music, the progression, the bass line…  all of that. Once that was there, 80% of the song just flowed out like it was already written.“
It’s easy to see that the song was intended to uplift whoever listens.
Then there is the breakdown that isn’t necessarily expected in the middle of the track.
Here is Jeremies commentary on that:
“The song was done. I had completed the demo. I was ready to finalize everything with it. Then, I woke up around 3 am with something else the song wanted.
So I got up and chopped the song in half, spread it apart, and began building the breakdown that was in my head. It was frustrating in the moment to be honest but I needed to get it down so I could rest and let it rest.
I originally intended to have the breakdown only released as part of an EP later on but once I had it constructed, I couldn’t drop the single without it.”
The track is fun, catchy, inspiring, and has a classic throwback sound that is difficult to pin down but that’s what makes us listen again and again.
